'Tangled Grasses' is a collection of  small paintings all about my favourite walks.  Everywhere you go there are groups of grasses, creating habitat, food and building materials for wildlife.  I used to ignore them, not really take in their intricate beauty but since I have been plein air sketching I have taken much more notice.  I enjoy the rustle of the leaves and stalks as they dance in the breeze.  If you sit quietly you will also see the insects, birds and sometimes if you are very lucky you will see a small field mouse hurry through.
