Holidays
I have been lucky enough in recent years to go on beautiful holidays across the country and abroad to see wonderful landscapes. These three paintings represent the holidays I have taken and the colour scheme represents the happy sunny days of summer.
'Summer Mountains'
I have been so lucky in recent years to have holidays where I have seen magnificent mountains whether in Scotland, Wales, Norway or Iceland.
Although this painting is not of a specific place it still reminds me of these special moments in time.
'Summer Seas'
Only a few weeks ago we went for the first time to Northumberland, and I was blown away by the sheer beauty of its coastline. Not only are there long sandy beaches, there are interesting rock pools and sand dunes which are more than enough to keep a person busy, interested and blissfully peaceful should you wish..
This particular painting reminds of this recent holiday, but it also reminds me of childhood days down in Devon or time with our children in Wales.
'Summer Trees'
Holidays don't have to mean travelling very far. Many of our happiest days with children, grandchildren and dogs have been amongst trees linking meadows to rivers. You can either have exciting adventures or peaceful cool places to rest. And thankfully these wonderful places are right on our doorstep giving us many opportunities for special moments in time.
